Brendan--3 month check up

I took Bren to his three month check up today. His AIC was 7.6, which pleases his doctor. She applauded his wonderful numbers and his courage and strength. She is continually amazed that he does all of his own testing, carb counting, and shots. We also spent quite a bit of time discussing the possibility of putting Brendan on an insulin pump/continuous glucose monitoring system early this summer. We are excited about this possibility and are confident that it will be wonderful for Bren. It would mean no daily shots and only a couple of finger pricks each day (at least I think that is correct--if I understand it all--I am still new to this). I am sure there will be much more information about this as we go on.
