I can't believe that they are possibly predicting snow for Saturday. :( I am ready for the sunshine and to play in my flowers! I know it will come and I will be not blogging when it does, because I will be outside! I bought 2 flats of my "grandma's flowers" (alyssum) today. I love the smell as it reminds me of my childhood--or at least the some of the good times in my childhood. Her yard always smelled of it! My yard currently if filled with blooming tulips, daffodils, pansies, Gerber Daisies, and many other things that are not completely up yet!
Sammy found my Clematis today and kind of chewed on the main root! and also pulled on it quite a bit before I got to him. I am quite sure he will not do that again--cause he got in really big trouble. The sad news is that I am not sure that it will survive. I had already planted a couple of new ones to add to the color, but we will see about the original :(
My brother in law's band, Sweet Lee Morrow, got signed this week by an independent label called, Good Records. He is so excited and we are so thrilled for him! Way to go Jared! You are awesome!
We spent the evening tonight at the church as Evening Hosts for the Daybreak Group that is sleeping in our building this week. I love this program that our church is a part of! About 4 times a year we host several homeless families for a week. We feed them, transport them, give them access to showers, beds, etc... in our building. This program is one that uses a number of different churches, rotating the group from one church to the next on a week to week basis. They are mainly a program for families with children and single women as I understand it. They have a day center and people to help them search for jobs, homes, have a permanent address, phone, internet, etc... I know that it is hard for them to move from week to week, but I am grateful that we are a part of something that is helping these children not sleep on the streets. Whenever we participate I am always glad that I have and glad that my children have been there too!
Well enough for tonight! We have a big weekend planned. Tomorrow we have Ryan's "is he ready for Kindergarten" conference. :( Kindergarten Round up went great! He loved it! On Saturday we feed the chickens bright and early, have soccer (ryan) at 11 and basketball (bren) at 2. And then we are hosting an open house BBQ for Kalee (Clark) and Ryan Cramer at 5. I think we are expecting more than double our usual BBQ numbers so that should be quite exciting for all! :) Sunday is Bren's Bowling Birthday Party--although as of yet we have yet to hand out one invitation--I have talked to a number of people on the phone though.
Gina called me tonight and I might get to keep Addy tomorrow for a while :) That will be fun!
Well off to bed for me. Peace and good night to all of you.
