What a wonderful weekend! It started off with a great day Friday of garage saleing(?) and ended with a wonderful BBQ. It is so amazing how much we miss BBQ when we don't have one for a few weeks! It seems to refresh my soul--and it did. The sunny weather all weekend didn't hurt either! Paul started working on moving my garden boxes and we started dreaming about our paving stones, arbor, and covered sitting area, etc... We have such wonderful plans for our yard, and we are so excited about it! Yesterday we got to watch Ryan play his first soccer game (picture) and then have an hour long lunch in Gresham City Park followed by a fabulous Basketball game played by Brendan (picture). Jenny tagged along and felt great mostly the whole weekend! Today we stayed home, I did some catch up housework, read, rested, and did some needed weeding in my yard. It was another beautiful day--and in anticipation for the rain that is suppose to move back in tonight I decided I would scoot around on my back side and pull weeds in my flowerbeds all afternoon. What an amazing gift we were given when flowers were created! Each one beautiful and yet completely different from all others. Tonight we all watched Mr. Magorian's Wonder Emporium together. If you haven't seen this movie you should. It has a message for all ages. I really love it! Well I am sure I am about to start another busy week! Back to my usual busy lifestyle. Last week I made another appointment for Ryan to be reevaluated for speech by the Headstart program. It seems that his speech is getting worse these days--Paul and I have been having to have him repeat things numerous times lately before we can understand him. So we do that on May 1st. Brendan goes that week sometime to see his Dr. and discuss starting a pump. We still are unsure as to why he is so reluctant, but he is. We are hopeful that after he tries one and has time to talk about the with the Dr. he might have a change of heart. Pray about this if you can--a pump would make his life so much better, and so much easier for him. One shot every 3 days as opposed to his current 6-7 shots a day. Plus having his insulin regulated and getting small doses every two hours. Well enough about that. We are going to let this be his decision, but we do believe it without question would be best for him. Jenny is continuing on with her life--knowing that there is nothing that we can do medically to stop her stomach pain. We are trying to encourage her to relax, sit and read for a little while, draw, anything that might take her mind away from her pain. She has started a pain journal where she write the time of day when she has pain or discomfort. The hope is that this will validate her pain in her mind and let her know that we believe her and know that it is real. We also will be taking her to see the play counselor in 2 weeks. We will see what comes from that! For those of you that were wanting an update on Spottie--well he is wonderful! We love him and don't know how are family ever managed without him! He does have two flaws--1st--he fills up with hair and dirt and has to be cleaned out before he can keep going (this probably happens at a faster rate at my home I am guessing. :) 2nd--He doesn't like my rug in my front room. It has black, brown, cream, sage squares on it much like a checker board. But Spottie will not go on to the black squares. This is problematic as the black squares are all over it. So we have decided that we will have to use the old Kirby to do that room, and the stairs! But I will tell you that the rooms it does clean look wonderful! Well enough for tonight, I am fading fast and starting to write in jibberish. Hope your weekend was as wonderful as mine. Time with my family today is so special and wonderful. I have been so blessed with a loving, wonderful husband, and 3 of the most wonderful kids every to be brought into this world--they may not be perfect, but they are mine, and love them more that I could have ever dreamed I would!

Bren isn't playing baseball? Sounds like you had a good weekend! I'm sad we had to leave so early on Friday, but that's life ... Miss you guys!
Maybe is y'all don't fix his speech it means he'll never grow up and he'll always be happy to sit in my lap. Just a thought. Suggestion, I guess...A girl can hope!
What an ecstatic little boy! Love ya, Grandma J
